Travelers who plan to do their COVID-19 test after arrival to Austria are obliged to register prior to entry. Travelers must present a medical certificate, not older than 72 hours, which confirms a negative Covid 19 test result (Antigen or PCR test). If this is not possible, a Covid 19 test must be carried out immediately after entry, within 24 hours (Antigen or PCR test). Upon entry to Austria, tourists will have to self-quarantine for 10 days. Most tourists have the option to end quarantine after at least 5 days if a negative PCR test can be shown. Derogations apply for high- risk countries, such as Portugal, Great Britain or South Africa. We recommend to attend our Live Online German classes via Zoom, during the 5/10 days of self-quarantine.

5. Live online German courses

In addition to our course offer in Vienna we also offer live online German courses, with 10, 20 or 30 lessons per week.

Many of our student choose our live online classes, because they prefer the opportunity of studying in small, international groups from home. They value the chance of learning German with a native speaker teacher in their free time in a familiar environment. 2 lessons of live online cultural programme are included each week, which gives the students additional insight into Austria's history and culture. Our live online classes are the ideal preparation for a future language course at ActiLingua Academy.

6. Safety and hygiene measures

The safety of all course participants and employees is our top priority. In the implementation of our safety guidelines, the highest level of student safety is key and group sizes and physical distance are designed in accordance with the applicable regulations. It is important to adhere to the physical distance guidelines and to wear a FFP2 mouth-nose-protection in school and at some indoor venues (e.g. public transport, health care). Also all ActiLingua employees and students are obligated to take an Antigen Test every Monday and Wednesday before the course.

Unfortunately, we have to inform you that the minimum number of 50 participants of our Summer School 12-17 has not been reached. Therefore, we have to cancel the Summer School 2021 in Vienna and postpone it to the year 2022.
But the good news is, that students can still learn German with ActiLingua Academy this summer!

We offer the following alternatives for our Summer School 12-17 this summer:

Option 1: Holiday Course 16-19 in Vienna
Students aged 15 or older can attend our Holiday Course for 16-19 years in Vienna. The lessons take place in small groups for students aged 15-19 years. Accommodation with half-board in the ActiLingua Residence or in student house is included in the package. 15-year-old students can attend the Holiday Course if the legal guardians assumes the responsibility.

Students can choose between Holiday Course 1 (20 lessons/week) and Holiday Course 2 (30 lessons/week). Both include 5 lessons of cultural programme per week, as for example sports, cultural activities or evening programme.

Please note that there is a difference between Holiday Course 16-19 and the Summer School: Holiday Course 16-19 students are treated like young adults, there is no supervision in the evening and they can go away as long as they want. They can leave their accommodation on their own without requiring the written permission of the legal guardian.

Option 2: Live online lessons
Students can attend the German classes as live online lessons via Zoom (or Skype) easily on a laptop or smartphone! Teaching material is provided by our native speaker teacher online and all you need is to download Zoom and have a webcam and a headset.

There are different options of live online courses for teens available at ActiLingua Academy:
